Display ads is a marketing method where graphics are displayed on websites, social media platforms or applications. Businesses will determine the type of website to place their ad and most of the platforms are related to the business. For example, a donut advertisement on a website for baking class.

The purpose of doing so is to advertise a business product or service and to deliver brand messages to individuals that visit the business pertinent third party website. There are a few benefits of display ads and one of the most important ones would be the fact that they are eye catching and can reach targeted audiences. 

  1. Social Media Ads

Some of the more common social media platforms for businesses to do advertising would be Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn. As the traffic flow for these platforms are high, businesses can take advantage of this point to create awareness and exposure to their products and services by placing advertisements on these social media platforms. 

It is a powerful advertising tool because it enables businesses to specify to whom it is to be displayed to. Businesses can set information based on audiences’ demographics so that their ads can capture targeted consumers. 

  1. Search Engine Marketing

Search Engine Marketing, also known as SEM is a way to increase search visibility when an individual searches for specific keywords or terms through the internet. The business web or product that uses SEM will be visible to the audience as search results. 

Benefits of SEM is that it targets only those that have searched for the keyword and businesses can also set their SEM so that audiences from within a specific area can see it. 

  1. Native Advertising

It is a form of advertising where it functions within the platform with a similar look, feel and format as though it is a part of it. These advertising can be in the form of a video and article et cetera. The reason why businesses do native advertising is because it increases the possibility that audiences will believe in them because of the credibility and reliability from the platform. Native advertising also appears less intrusive and appears more appealing to visitors of the page.

More audiences prefer the use of video rather than reading a whole chunk of paragraphs. Video advertising increases attention rate because it is more eye catching and individuals are more likely to share a video compared to an article. Businesses can also take good advantage of a video advertisement because it is able to convey a lot of messages to the audiences in a short time. 

  1. Email Marketing

The benefits of email marketing is that businesses can create personalized content to target different groups of consumers. Besides, it is a cost saving marketing method compared to paper flyers or pamphlets. There is also email statistics software that allows businesses to know the stats of whether their recipients have opened the mail or clicked on the link in the mail.

They can then use the stats to do better marketing because the statistics allow them to know which of the emails are active and which active recipients have clicked onto the provided business links.

It is beneficial for businesses to do digital advertising because technology is taking over traditional advertising methods. Furthermore, businesses can definitely see a cost saving difference and an increase in productivity when implementing digital advertising methods.
