Qoo10’s headquarters is in Singapore and this popular e commerce platform was founded in 2010. Today, Qoo10 is operating across numerous southeast asia countries such as Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Hong Kong. It is also one of the fastest expanding online marketplace.

The mobile app has a user-friendly interface that can satisfy both the needs of buyers and sellers. It is also one of the more popular platforms in Singapore because it has a relatively low commission rate on sales compared to other platforms. Any individual with a buyer account can start selling on Shopee. 

The cashback programme in Shopee allows buyers to earn a small percentage of whatever they have spent in the form of shopee points. These points can then be used again for a small amount of cash checkout deduction accordingly. With programmes like these, it is no wonder there is a high number of traffic that visits the page and boosts exposure for sellers on the platform. 

Zalora

Founded in 2012, Zalora has its headquarters in Singapore and Malaysia. It is the leading platform that focuses its selling point on apparels, beauty and fashion accessories. The platform has higher use of advertising through Google and Facebook advertising to draw a connection with the customers. 

There are quite a few options available for delivery and pick up services. The most basic one would be direct courier service. Another option would be payment and collection from the choice of your 7-11 store where buyers will be notified by Singpost when the item has reached the convenience store. 

Zalora offers a huge variety of brand apparels and stays updated with the latest fashion trend in order to meet consumer needs and draw consistent traffic to the platform. 

Carousell

Carousell is a Singaporean ecommerce platform based on web and smartphone. It was founded in 2012 with headquarters in Singapore and operating in multiple countries such as Malaysia, Taiwan and Canada. 

The main difference between Carousell and other ecommerce platforms is that Carousell does not provide third party delivery services because the platform connects buyers and sellers for the transaction to be done outside of the app and the web. 

Carousell allows sellers to sell any products where all they have to do is include a picture of the goods, list the price of the goods and fill in descriptions about the goods. Potential customers then start a conversation with the seller and once there is an agreement, they schedule the time, date and venue for the transaction.

Carousell is popular in Singapore because it helps consumers save on shipping and delivery fees since everything is done locally. Also, the items on Carousell may not be available on other ecommerce platforms as sellers can choose to sell whatever they want to sell and probably not in big numbers or huge amounts.
